The CMFSC Board requires all members to contribute a minimum of 12 volunteer hours per season and actively participate in our fundraising events to support our programs and ensure a thriving ski community.

Each family will be assigned approximately 3 Saturdays throughout the season for volunteering at a minimum. At a max, 4 hours would be required on each of those days. Jobs and time allocation are divided up on the day of by a volunteer coordinator or volunteer team leader.

Total hours for your Family will be 12 hours

If you are unable to make your shift, YOU are responsible to coordinate with another family and swap. Which is why you should join the WhatsApp group. 

If you DO NOT show up for an assigned shift, you will automatically be added to the clean up crew at the end of the season. If you STILL do not fulfill your volunteer hour requirements, your family will LOSE their spot for next year pre-registration and will be added to our wait-list, Which is very long and likely you/ your child/children will miss a season.

We also understand powder days at Castle are rare so we will NOT make you help out those epic days either. Instead, your name will be moved to help on Clean up day. But before you jump to the hill and ski PLEASE check in first. 

Parent volunteers working on the hill will also require a volunteer membership from Freestyle Alberta - THIS IS FREE you just need to fill out the form - Mostly for insurance purposes

Required for all the wonderful volunteers in Alberta. Including these roles, but not limited to, club operations, events, fundraising, and board members.
